How is WPM calculated?

WPM = (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ minutes elapsed — the standard formula used in most typing tests, where 5 characters counts as one "word".

Does this support Hindi typing practice?

Yes — switch to the हिंदी (Hindi) tab for Devanagari-script passages, ideal for practicing government exam Hindi typing tests.

Is my best score saved?

Yes — your highest WPM is saved per mode and language in this browser, so you can track improvement over time.

What is a good typing speed?

Around 35-40 WPM is average, 50-60 WPM is good, and 70+ WPM is considered fast — most government exam typing tests require 30-35 WPM with high accuracy.
