What Is Memory Card Match?

Memory Card Match is a classic pairs-matching game. A grid of face-down cards hides a set of emoji symbols, each appearing exactly twice. Flip two cards at a time to find identical pairs, and clear the whole board in as few moves as possible.

How to Play Memory Card Match

  1. Choose a difficulty — Easy (6 pairs), Medium (8 pairs) or Hard (10 pairs).
  2. Click or tap any card to flip it over and reveal its symbol.
  3. Flip a second card. If the two symbols match, they stay revealed. If not, both flip back after a moment.
  4. Keep going until every pair on the board is matched — try to do it in as few moves as possible, and as quickly as you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a "move" in Memory Card Match?

Every time you flip two cards and they get compared, that counts as one move — whether it's a match or not. Fewer moves means a better memory performance.

What is a "perfect" score?

A perfect run is one where your total moves equal the total number of pairs on the board — meaning you never made a single mismatched guess.

Can I change the difficulty mid-game?

Yes, tapping a different difficulty pill immediately starts a fresh board at that difficulty.

Is my best score saved?

Yes, your personal best (fewest moves) is saved locally in your browser and shown in the profile bar at the top of this page.
